G-LAMA taken by Ian INNES on the ground at Portree, Isle of Skye on the west coast of Scotland, during a break between off loading lorries containing live Salmon smolts. G-LAMA taken by Ian INNES in the late summer 2004 near Aberfeldy in Central Scotland. PDG Helicopters was conducting there agricultural topdressing of pine woods ( spreading Nitrogen, Potassium and Phosphate, or simply "manure" as the Irish call it ! ). G-LAMA taken by Ian INNES at Glossop near Manchester in 2004. The upper peat moorlands have over the centuries been severly erroded by fires, acid rain and the ever present hill walkers. PDG Helicopters had a contract with a group called "Moors for the Future" to spread fertiliser, lime and a mix of heather/grass seed. The operation was it appears highly successful. |
