Alouette III prototype MSN 001 seen during test flights in mountains from Le Fayet (Passy) aerodrome probably during June 1960. The SE-3150 Alouette II prototype, the Lama ancestor, can be noticed in the background of second picture. About those tests, Jean BOULET tells us this (November 9, 2001) : "The Alouette III was designed with a high power reserve, which allows her to maintain good performances in mountains. The tests that were conducted since June 1960 from the Fayet aerodrome, close to Chamonix, have given me the opportunity to fly in the whole area with a landing perfomed on top of Mont-Blanc".
