Belgian company Wim Robberechts & Co. is specialised in gyrostabilised WESCAM system rentals and operations. During 2003 a WESCAM 16DB750 system has been installed on Eli Ossola's I-FLAI Lama ( s/n 2605 ) for low voltage power line inspection in Italy. Unfortunately the helicopter was destroyed after it hit a cable. Pilot was distracted by his GPS during a turn and didn't see the cable. He was injured in the crash as well as the Wescam operator. An observer escaped unhurt from the wreck. This serie of pictures has been taken by Wim ROBBERECHTS.
