Une personne infectée d'un virus sans antidote s'introduit dans l'express Genève-Stockholm et contamine une grande partie des passagers. Ayant eu vent du problème, les autorités des différents pays refusent l'arrêt du train sur leur territoire. Celui-ci est envoyé en direction de la Pologne, mais pour atteindre le camp de mise en quarantaine, il doit d'abord passer sur le pont désafecté de Cassandra.

A person infected by an antidoteless virus takes on board the Geneva-Stockholm Express Train and infects most of the passengers. After having been informed of the problem, authorities of concerned countries refuses any stop of the train on their territory. It is then sent to a quarantine camp in Poland but in order to reach it, the train must first pass on the disused Cassandra Bridge.

Le Lama apparait dans le film lorsqu'un chien et le fuyard infectés par le virus doivent être évacués du train en mouvement. Un treuillage à l'aide d'un panier est effectué, mais il doit être interrompu car le train arrive dans une région montagneuse où cette opération n'est plus envisageable à cause des tunnels. Le spécialiste des chemins de fer notera que, bien que le train soit à traction électrique, il n'y a pas de caténaire lors de l'opération de treuillage. Il est bien évident que s'il y en avait eu, celle-ci n'aurait pu avoir lieu !

The Lama is required to evacuate a dog and the fugitive both infected by the virus from the moving train. A winching with a basket is performed, but it must be interrupted because the train is arriving in a mountainous area where this operation is no longer possible due to tunnels. The railfan will certainly notice that there is no catenary during the winching operation even if the train is electric-powered. That operation would of course not have been feasible if there were poles and caternaries.
