OSS 117, ou James Bond 007, c’est à peu de chose près la même trame : un agent secret au costume impeccable auquel aucune femme ne peut résister est envoyé à l’autre bout du monde pour sauver la planète. Dans cet opus (film admirablement restauré, image d’une netteté étonnante), l’intérêt réside toutefois dans l’ambiance japonaise du milieu des années 1960. L’Alouette II apparait au tout début, juste avant le générique. Posée dans une carrière, elle attend moteur tournant l’arrivée, très mouvementée, d'OSS 117 qui vient de faire exploser les deux voitures de ses poursuivants avant de monter à bord de l'hélicoptère, costume à peine froissé.

OSS 117, or James Bond 007, is pretty much the same story: a secret agent with an impeccable suit that no woman can resist is sent to the other side of the world to save the planet. In this opus (film admirably restored, image of astonishing clarity), the interest however lies in the Japanese atmosphere of the mid-1960s. The Alouette II appears at the very beginning, just before the credits. Placed in a quarry, she waits with the engine running for the very eventful arrival of OSS 117, which has just blown up the two cars of its pursuers before boarding the helicopter, costume barely wrinkled.
