Durant la nuit du 17 juillet 1975, le pétrolier "Point-Law" de 75 mètres de longueur s’échoue sur des rochers au sud-ouest d’Aurigny. Neuf personnes sont treuillées en matinée dans des conditions hasardeuses par l’Alouette II de Granville. Son équipage est constitué de Christian Graviou, le pilote, et de Francis Delafosse, mécanicien de bord.
During the night of July 17, 1975, the 75-meter-long oil tanker "Point-Law" ran aground on rocks southwest of Alderney. The following morning, nine people were airlifted to safety under hazardous conditions by the Alouette II helicopter from Granville, crewed by pilot Christian Graviou and flight mechanic Francis Delafosse.
